Up to three companions fight beside your cat. Monsters never target them. Hire them with gold once you have met them, train them up to your level, and the Kitten Corner in your Fortress makes room for more.

A grey alley cat with a torn ear and very quick paws. Check your pockets.

Pippin Yarnslinger
An otter-raised cream cat with a bandolier of yarn balls.

Sir Wagsworth's grand-pup. Very small, very brave, very silly. Brings back everything.
