Prowler guide
Street and stealth cats who dual-wield a dagger and a dirk. A Prowler fights for the critical hit: backstabs, flurries and lunges that land in bursts, then a vanish to shake off trouble. Flash Jump is a long double jump. It is fast, a little fragile, and the most fun to watch when the crits roll.

Skills to put on the bar
Your cat casts the first skill on its bar that is ready, so the order is its priority. When it takes a class, the game sets its bar in this order, which is a good place to start. Swap in new skills as each advancement brings them.
| Class | Starting bar, first to last |
|---|---|
| Prowler | Night Vision → Backstab → Flurry of Claws → Shadow Lunge → Pounce → Lick and Vanish |
| Shadowpaw | Cloak of Night → Vanishing Strike → Assassinate → Shadow Dance → Nightshade Claws → Lick and Vanish |
| Alleycat | Street Smarts → Grand Larceny → Sand in the Eyes → Trash-Can Toss → Dirty Tricks → Lick and Vanish |
| Nightfang | Shadow Veil → Death Mark → Eclipse Strike → A Thousand Cuts → Assassinate → Lick and Vanish |
| Cat Burglar | The Big Score → The Heist → Smoke Bomb → Safecracker → Grand Larceny → Lick and Vanish |
| Voidpaw | Void Veil → Mark of the Void → Umbra Strike → Ten Thousand Cuts → Death Mark → Lick and Vanish |
| Phantom Thief | Midnight Caper → The Perfect Crime → Vanishing Act → Calling Card → The Heist → Lick and Vanish |
Talents
From level 10 the Prowler line gets a talent point every two levels, 96 by level 200, for three trees. A tree opens a row for every five points spent in it, and its last row is a capstone that teaches a new skill, about level 90. A level 200 cat fills one tree and about half of another.
| Tree | Leans into | What it does | Capstone |
|---|---|---|---|
| 💨 Footwork | Both branches | Fast paws. Dodging, darting and striking first. | Whirling Claws Spin through everything around you, claws out. Strikes four times. |
| 🌑 Shadow | Shadowpaw | The assassin. Cold blood, sealed fates and the strike from nowhere. | Heartseeker Straight for the heart. Always crits, and does 60% more to foes below 35% HP. |
| 🗑️ Alley | Alleycat | The street cat. Sticky paws, dirty tricks and a nose for gold. | Alley Ambush Every dirty trick at once. Strikes twice, picks pockets, and foes hit deal 30% less damage for 6s. |
A safe build: fill your branch's own tree from top to bottom, then put the rest into the shared tree. That is what the game's balance is measured against, so it always keeps pace. Resets cost gold in any town and get cheaper again week by week, so trying another tree is never a big loss.
Tips
- Critical chance and crit damage are worth more to a Prowler than to anyone else.
- Keep the vanish and its heal on the bar: Prowlers have less health than the others.
- Alleycats steal gold as they fight, which helps pay for potion and gear upgrades early.
Every skill's damage, cooldown and cost is in the class comparison, and the other paths are in picking a class.
